Equipment Tips by Mike Bemboom

Nozzle Inspections

Now that a majority of the corn has been planted, spraying will be the next thing done in those fields.  Make sure your spray nozzles are performing the way they should.  Nozzles wear out and can become less consistent in spray pattern and amount applied per acre after two to three years or about 20,000 to 30,000 acres, depending on if they are plastic, brass or stainless.
