Low River Levels Affect Nitrogen Availability / Getting Ready for Fall Tiling

Fertilizer Update by Rob Fritz

Low river levels have led to supply issues in the Twin Cities on nitrogen.  It is currently on allocation, so loads can be difficult to come by.  However, prices have not significantly increased because of this. P and K supplies are very good.  Phosphate pricing has stabilized, and K prices continue to drop by the week.  I expect both of these trends to continue. Equipment Tips by Mike Bemboom

Getting Ready for Fall Tiling

Plenty of crop is coming out, which opens up the opportunity to start tiling those fields. If tiling is on your list of things to do this fall, make sure you have the drain tile and fittings you’ll need to get started. Also, there are software updates available for many of the GPS Grade Control systems out there. Ag Leader has an update for the Integra and the Intellislope Water Management software. Version 4.5 adds the ability to collect elevation data to be used as a topography reference layer. Give me a call at 1-800-274-3389 if you have any questions.
