QUICK SUMMARY

If you pick your product up now, you have it when you need to spray it, rather than coming to our store on a good spraying day this spring.

EARLY PICKUP REBATE ON ROUNDUP

Yes, the Roundup price is going to go down. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen until this
summer, most likely. However, if the price would unexpectedly decrease before the end of May,
you will get price protection from Hefty Seed Company if you pick up your name brand Roundup
(WeatherMAX or PowerMAX) from us in March. Plus, you’ll receive a financial incentive to be
paid out the first week of April.

Look, I know you’ve been holding off on everything because commodity prices have come down.
To some degree, we have too in our business and on our farm, but now, it’s almost spring, and it’s
time to go. Again, if you’re worried about the price of name brand Roundup coming down, you’ll
be protected through May 31 IF you pick it up from us in March. Realistically, Monsanto may
lower their Roundup price, but it probably won’t happen until August or September.
Here’s our other concern. If everyone waits to pick up product until late May or early June, we
could have a short-term supply crunch. This happened 3 years ago, and it’s the reason why we
started doing an early pickup program a couple years ago. Here are the advantages for you:

1) You get price protection through May 31 on Roundup WeatherMAX and Roundup
Power-MAX.
2) You get an extra $1.25 per gallon on WeatherMAX, $1.00 on PowerMAX, or $1.00 on RT3. These rebates are for BULK ONLY. We will also offer $2.60 per gallon on Durango shuttles and $0.25 per gallon on generic glyphosate shuttles. Please check with your local Hefty’s store, as we expect a Touchdown incentive to be announced soon, as well.
3) You don’t have to wait to pick up your product, like you might have to in-season.
4) We have a great supply on hand right now. No, there will be no shortage of Roundup or any glyphosate this year, but if everyone comes at the same time, we could run out on certain days. We don’t have that issue now.
5) This is probably the most important thing. If you pick your product up now, you have it
when you need to spray it, rather than coming to our store on a good spraying day this
spring.

If you would like to take advantage of our early pickup program in March, you must pick up at least
40 gallons of one of the glyphosates we’ve listed above to be eligible for rebate payments. Please
call the store you would like to pick the product up from in advance, just to make sure we have your product on hand and so we can schedule your pick up time for better and faster service. You MUST pick up your product no later than March 31. Please don’t wait until the last day, in case there’s bad weather or something else comes up for you. You should receive your rebate check no later than April 10..
