Nitrogen Prices Trend Upward / Fire Safety in a Dry Harvest

Fertilizer Update by Rob Fritz

Rob Fritz - rob.f@heftyseed.com

Nitrogen is continuing its steady move upward in price.  Urea is currently priced competitively with anhydrous ammonia.  P and K are holding their prices steady.  I expect the nitrogen to continue to trend upward, and P and K should remain steady. Equipment Tips by Mike Bemboom

Fire Safety in a Dry Harvest

Combines are starting to harvest corn in some areas due to the dry conditions, and that is creating a lot of dust and potential for fires.  Make sure you take the necessary precautions in case of a fire.  Have a fire extinguisher or a compressed water canister close enough for quick access when you’re out there in the field.  Be safe. Give me a call at 1-800-274-3389 if you have any questions. Click here to send Mike an e-mail. [table “1” not found /]
